2016
As Project Manager for Lisa Kanning Interior Design, Jamaica Jones led industrial design, fabrication, and installation of custom furnishings for the multi million dollar, 5,668 sq. ft., 3-story Mt. Barlow Residence in Telluride, delivering mountain luxury through precision and craftsmanship.

Telluride Site Overview
Exterior view of the two-parcel Telluride residence during construction—a rare configuration in downtown Telluride, where most homes occupy a single lot. The image captures the open garage with fabricators moving lumber on site, set against the dramatic mountain backdrop that frames the property.

Custom Chaise Installation
Newly installed custom chaise lounge for a private residence in Telluride. Upholstered in cream velvet with a dark walnut frame accenting the arms and back, the piece combines modern lines with rich material contrast, offering both comfort and sculptural presence within the space.

Detail: Accent Pillow Craftsmanship
Close-up of the chaise lounge’s kidney pillow, showcasing a herringbone fabric with a braided leather cord welt along the boxed edges. The detailing highlights the tailored craftsmanship and tactile sophistication that define the furnishings throughout the Telluride residence.

Primary Bedroom Bed Rendering
SketchUp rendering created by Jamaica to communicate the design intent and technical requirements of a custom walnut and leather bed featuring a concealed pop-up TV mechanism. The rendering defined critical allowances for the motorized lift system while balancing proportion, material harmony, and visual elegance.

Bed Frame Fabrication
In-progress fabrication of the custom bed frame in the shop, showing the structural wood framing and integrated metal support beams prior to upholstery. The construction was engineered to house the TV lift mechanism while maintaining a sleek, furniture-grade profile.

Footboard Metal Accent
Custom powder-coated metal accent fabricated for the bed’s footboard, providing a refined architectural detail that complements the walnut and leather elements while reinforcing the structure.

Headboard Foot Detail
Custom walnut wood accent at the foot of the headboard, designed to align with the bed’s walnut side rails. The routed edge detail adds subtle craftsmanship and continuity, tying together the bed’s material palette and emphasizing the precision of its handcrafted construction.

Headboard Metal Accent
Powder-coated metal trim component for the bed’s headboard, designed to frame the upholstered panels and add a subtle modern contrast to the natural leather grain.

Installed Bed – Pre-Skirt
The custom walnut and leather bed installed in the primary bedroom, shown with bedding in place prior to fabrication of the tailored skirt. The exposed footboard conceals the TV lift housing, which will later be fully integrated beneath the final upholstery.

Completed Installation with Skirting
Final installation of the primary bedroom bed with the custom upholstered skirt concealing the TV lift mechanism. The finished piece showcases a seamless integration of engineering and design, combining luxury materials with innovative functionality tailored to the client’s lifestyle.

Breakfast Nook Banquette
Custom banquette for the kitchen breakfast nook, featuring a boxed leather seat and a tufted fabric back framed with a walnut wood topper detail. The combination of textures and materials creates a warm, tailored centerpiece that complements the kitchen’s refined yet inviting atmosphere.
